Modern Day Slavery - Human Trafficking
My Journey
In 2011, I traveled to Thailand, where I first encountered the devastating realities of human trafficking by working with victims on the streets, brothels, and shelters. Once I returned home to Virginia, I was shocked to learn how prevalent the problem was in my own community. This ignited a passion within me to be a voice for the voiceless and led to the founding of a nonprofit in Northern Virginia in 2014, Reset180, dedicated to combating human trafficking.
Over the years, I had the privilege of creating and leading teams that provided education to communities, services to survivors who had been recovered, outreach to victims and sex buyers, and disruption to trafficking networks. This work was born out of my deep calling and obedience to God during those pivotal years, answering His mandate to destroy the works of the enemy and set the captives free.
Today, the important work I started continues through Reset180, ensuring that survivors receive the support they need and that communities are equipped to stand against exploitation.
In 2022, God moved me and my husband to Missouri to begin a new chapter and start Deeply Rooted Life Center, LLC.
